Wood Fired Pizzas ~ Marinara Sauce

Ingredients

  • 4 cloves fresh garlic sauteed in olive oil
  • 1 can Italian plum tomatoes crushed
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 TBSP fresh parsley or 1/2 TBSP of dried
  • 1 tsp basil

Instructions

  • Simmer all ingredients together for about 3 minutes to complete sauce.

Topping for mushroom/spinach pizza
 
Saute' 8 sliced mushrooms in olive oil.  Use button, cremini or baby bella mushrooms.
Once cooked , do not cook until brown.  Add about two cups of baby spinach.  Saute for about two minutes.
Add 1/2 tsp of truffle salt.  Top pizza once cooked with truffle oil.
