NJ farm’s first hay cutting of 2021

First hay cutting of 2021 at VA farm

On July 15, 2021 our New Jersey farm had it’s first hay cutting of 2021.

At Simply Grazin’ we grow our own organic grasses, which reduces the carbon footprint of cattle farming. No corn, no grain, just grass is used to feed Simply Grazin’ cows – this decreases the carbon footprint of beef farming, and actually improves the land we farm, as opposed to depleting it. We have a year round field management program that monitors and enhances our forage and pasture land.

We believe in raising and feeding our livestock as nature intended. Free to roam on organically managed fields and pastures without the use of pesticides, chemicals or fertilizers. During the fair weather months, our cows eat exclusively from pastures filled with lush grass to keep them nourished. During the colder months, when the pastures just aren’t producing grasses and could even be covered by snow, we feed our cattle baleage, which allows us to feed them only grass.
